Distressed Children International (DCI) is a non-profit organization working to protect child rights and help families out of the poverty cycle through education, healthcare, and income-generating opportunities. Distressed Children International also connects American youth to less fortunate children in other countries, educating them about the challenges facing children worldwide and inspiring them to take leadership in humanitarian causes. Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization registered in the United States and operating around the world. All donations to DCI are tax-deductible for US taxpayers.
Founded in 2003 by a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, Dr. Ehsan Hoque, DCI aims to improve underprivileged children’s socio-economic, educational, and health conditions worldwide. DCI operates in Bangladesh and India and runs essential programs for children’s health and well-being.
