The Feringhees is a Queens based Bangladeshi music band in New York City, USA. Founded in 2012, the group has three main members: Tahmeed Qazi, Nadeem Qazi Ahmad and Rafaat Hossain. The group is consists of second generation of young Bangladeshi performers. The group predominantly play Bangla and Indian Hindi music of rock genre with occasional venture into the English language. The group remixes existing Bangla songs and also composes its own music. The Feringhees play in different Bangladeshi events, schools campuses, cultural institutes in New York. Open to play in multicultural environment, the group’s aim is to practice, to promote and to make Bangla band music popular in cultural milieu of New York City.
