Bangladesh Association of Georgia a Bangladeshi community social welfare organization, based in Atlanta, organizes cultural events, fairs, and festivals that tie the community together and with Bangladesh. Founded in 1991, the association assists the Bangladeshi community by providing a networking platform and introducing Bangladeshi heritage to the wider multicultural communities of Atlanta. Bangladesh Association of Georgia arranges Bangla New Year, street fairs, seminars, discussions, consulate service, etc.
One of the principal aims of the association is to encourage a new generation of Bangladeshi Americans to explore Bangladeshi culture and heritage.
The organization is run by a team of 15 elected officials. Elections are held every two years.
