Northampton Bangladeshi Association is a Bangladeshi community organization in Northampton, UK. Registered as a charitable organization and founded in 2001 conjunction with Northamptonshire County Council to identify and address some of the challenges facing the communities of Northampton including Bangladeshi community. The Organization seeks to facilitate policies and local agenda on behalf of key statutory agencies by working closely with Northampton Borough Council, Northamptonshire County Council, Northamptonshire Police and many other local and national organizations and training agencies to provide a professional access and services to the community.
Northampton Bangladeshi Association is committed to make possible everyone to gain economic and social advantage to obtain equal access, resources and services to the community. The Bangladeshi Association of Northampton has won many awards including the Best Community Award from Northampton Borough Council, the Best Bangladeshi Community in the UK awarded given by Channel Sin 2008, and more.
NBA provides following activities & services: Adult education, Education for Children, Youth club (for young people from 14-19 years old), Sunday Youth Group (for young boys aged 7 – 14 years old), Health access service, Woman support service, Elderly day-care, Welfare Advice, Sports & recreation, Summer play schemes, Legal Consumers advice, Bangla Supplementary Class (to learn & speak Bengali language for all the children and young people) and many more.
