Assafa Islamic Center is a non-profit, non political and religious organization. It was established in 1996 as a Masjid to provide Islamic Educational opportunities. The center is a six story building with many facilities – Quran and Islamic leaning area, men’s prayer area, women’s prayer area, cleaning area, funeral preparation area, meeting place, library, matrimonial counseling etc. Although It has not been able to establish an full-fledged academic Islamic School, the Islamic after school and weekend programs have been active. Students can complete Quran learning and Islamic teaching. Assafa Islamic Center also holds Dua Mahfil, interfaith dialogue, social services as needed by the community at large.
