The Bangladeshi-Canadian Community Services (BCS) is a non-profit organization that provides support and services to the diverse communities in Crescent Town and surrounding neighborhoods, including Taylor-Massey, Teesdale, Dawes, Secord, and Lumsden. BCS provides information, referrals, skill development and settlement services, and cultural and recreational programs to the community’s children, youth, adults, and seniors. BCS consistently collaborates with other community organizations and service providers to address and provide services for the continuously changing needs of the community.

The mission of the Bangladeshi Community Services is to “help people to help themselves” by delivering services through advocacy, referrals, skill development, and partnerships. BCS supports new South Asian immigrants with a particular focus on Bangladeshi immigrants. Referrals for career/employment counseling and newcomer needs, housing, education, and guidance counseling for schoolchildren.

Ahmed Mustaq founded the Bangladeshi-Canadian Community Services (BCS) in 2003 to better integrate the Bangladeshi community in Canada.
