Bangladesh-America Friendship Society (BAFS) (or Bangladeshi American Friendship Society of New York) is a Bangladeshi not-for-profit, non-political, non-governmental, multicultural organization in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2015, the organization organizes Boisahkhi Mela (Bangla New Year Festival) with the help of local community organizations. The festival creates an opportunity for the Bangladeshi immigrant community in Brooklyn to welcome the Bangla New Year, buy products, enjoy cultural activities, and introduce traditional heritage to new generations. Most of the work of the Bangladesh-America Friendship Society is performed by its members and supporters voluntarily.
