Ankur Bangla School or Friends of Bangla School was founded in Lansdale, Pennsylvania in 2011. The objective of the Ankur Bangla School is to practice and promote Bangla language, literature, culture and heritage in the context of multi-lingual and multi-ethnic background of our society. The school provides kids an understanding of Bangladeshi culture, along with a well structured academic foundation to read and write Bangla. The school is attend by Bangladeshi community living in Lansdale, Hatfield and surrounding areas. The school was founded by Partha Sarothi Debnath.
Friends of Bangla School also organizes:
- Bangla New Year festival (Boishakhi)
- Bangla Cultural (dance, music, story reading, poetry recitation)
- Rally with parade, mask, drum, banner, festoon
