Bangladesh American Foundation of Central Florida is an organization of the Bangladeshi community living in Florida, USA. The organization was conceived in 2001 to provide a platform for the Bangladeshi community to express common concerns, find solutions, and discuss ways to develop the community. The association works as a vehicle for exchanging information and views on matters of interest to the Bangladeshi American community living in Central Florida.
Bangladesh American Foundation of Central Florida is a forum for the Bangladeshi community to guide and develop the next generation of Bangladeshi-American youth. The association organizes events to propagate the Bangla language, art, folklore, heritage, etc. The organization wants to make Bangladesh-American cultural enrichment strong among the new generations.
Bangladesh American Foundation of Central Florida aims to:
- Provide cultural, intellectual, social, physical, spiritual, and charitable welfare to the people of Bangladeshi origin and the local community.
- Promote goodwill, understanding, and appreciation of the cultures of Bangladesh among all persons, regardless of color, creed, race, religion, and national origin.
- Promote Bangladesh-American friendship.
- Promote cultural exchange with any other group, organization, or Institution interested in Bangladeshi culture.
- Facilitate the activities of any other professional, student, woman, or any other group of Bangladeshis, providing that such groups or organizations are also non-profit and non-political organizations duly organized under any state law.
- Provide scholarships for higher education and extend any help in higher learning by raising funds in various ways.
- Honor distinguished persons, associations, and institutions who have contributed substantially to the cause of Bangladeshi people and/or Bangladeshi culture.
