Association of Bangladeshi Geologists of Alberta (ABGA) is a Geoscience Forum of Geologists of Bangladesh origin. The organization was founded in 2009 to build inter-personal cooperation among geologists of Bangladeshi origin to extend their cooperation to new comers in order to help them smoothly integrate in Canadian life. The ABGA aims to build a happy and prosperous society along with development of Bangladeshi community. The association organizes annual get together, picnic, Eid reunion and other events for its members and their families.
Objectives of Association of Bangladeshi Geologists of Alberta (ABGA)
- To promote understanding and cooperation among graduates with reference to their professional and social settlement in Canada
- To encourage and develop geologist’s desire to know and respect their historical and cultural heritage
- To establish centralized coordination among the members with community and interaction with other national and international professional organizations
- To assist and co-ordinate in developing professional skills
- To organize and exchange socio-cultural activities
- To assist and co-ordinate to apply for APEGA membership
