Canada Bangladesh Community Centre (CBCC) is a located in Vancouver, Canada. It is a non-profit, non-political organization committed to support Bangladeshis and other communities in Metro Vancouver. Canada Bangladesh Community Centre was created in 2002 as a necessity to give Bangladeshi community a platform to actively practice Bangladeshi as well as Canadian cultural and national events.
All the dedicated Bangladeshi Canadians living in British Columbia, cultural and community associations badly feel the necessity of having our own Community Centre and have been actively working for it for a decade. We have already set our vision, started collecting funds, and planned a handful of programs to begin among the people. We are earnest enough to get your wholehearted support on the following issues:
Vision and long-term goal of CBCC:
– Create a permanent address for growing Bangladeshi community in British Columbia
– Provide free assistance to new immigrants regarding settlement issues and career planning
– Organize job search clubs, language and other skill developing programs for an effective and smooth transition
– Celebrate Bangladeshi and Canadian festivals and events in a befitting manner
– Preserve and flourish Bangladeshi cultural identity in the multicultural atmosphere of Canada
– Support Bangladesh and raise a positive image of Bangladesh around the world
Plan and work:
– Raise fund and start building a Bangladeshi community centre with by community donations and Canadian government support
– Start need based programs of supporting Bangladeshi and other community people
– Create awareness among all the Bangladeshis to work as a community support team
Expectation:
– Community advice, monetary donation or gift and participation as member
– Voluntary contribution in programs to uphold the vision of Canada Bangladesh Community Centre (CBCC)
– National identity to be continuously focused and blended with the Canadian mosaic
