Bangladesh Association of Chicagoland (BAC) is a organization for Bangladeshi community living in Chicago and surrounding areas. BAC aims to bring unity among the Bangladeshi community by performing community activities. Bangladesh Association of Chicagoland (BAC) is a membership-based, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization without affiliation to any political parties in Bangladesh or in the US. The organization was founded in 1980 by one of the foremost structural engineers of the 20th century Dr. Fazlur R. Khan – a Bangladeshi American.
Bangladesh Association of Chicagoland (BAC) sponsors varieties of events and activities, especially Bangladesh Day and Independence Day every year. By celebrating Bangladesh Day, the community try to bring a taste of Bangladesh and its culture to USA. By participating in volunteer activities, BAC members try to spread awareness about Bangladesh while helping the community.
