Shikor Bangla School

Shikor Bangla School is a Bangla school of Bangladeshi community in Arizona, USA. The school was founded by Bangladesh Theater of Arizona (BTA) as a weekend Bangla School in Tempe, AZ in May, 2003. Shikor Bangla School teaches Bangla language, and introduce Bangladeshi culture/tradition to the next generation of Bangladeshi-American children and  youth. The kids participate in Bangladeshi cultural programs via music, drama, dance etc. Student of the school regularly participate in the Bangla cultural programs, Bangla stage plays, and write in every issue of BTA’s Bangla magazine ‘Shiri’. Since 2008, the school is publishing Bangla calendar on the occasion of Bangla New Year (Pohela Boishakh) every year.
