Business Description
Founded in 2012, British Bangladesh Fashion Council (BBFC) is a not-for-profit social enterprise created by British-Bangladeshi living in the UK to share and offer fashion related training, work experience and networking opportunities. BBFC was created to showcase Bangladeshi fashion in UK and bridge the gap between UK based designers and Bangladeshi fashion designers. British Bangladesh Fashion Council offers Bangladeshi origin makeup artists, hair stylists, jewellery and accessory designers a platform to promote their talent.
Aims and activities BBFC
- Organize Bangladesh Fashion Week in London
- Celebrate and promote Bangladeshi fashion, designers, culture and the arts
- Support existing and aspiring designers and others within the sector through development program
- Offer training, mentoring, and work experience to interns and newcomers
- Promote British fashion designers in Bangladesh to enhance their trade link
- Networking with Bangladeshi Read Made Garment (RMG) sector and British Bangladeshi fashion designers
- Encourage open private fashion business and entrepreneurship, etc.
