An-Noor Cultural Center was founded in December, 2012 and was officially inaugurated in January, 2013. It is now an integral part of Jackson Heights and surrounding neighborhoods. The vision of An-Noor Cultural Center is to provide a comprehensive and balanced education to the young Muslim generation. An-Noor provides an Islamic environment in which younger generations can familiarize themselves with their religion and their culture under the guidance of learned mentors and teachers.
The center provides a multitude of services including:
- Full-Time Hifz program
- Weekend program where students learn Ahadith, Fiqh, Tajweed and Qira’at
- Aqa’id and Tarbiya
- Da’wah Program for newly reverted Muslims who come to learn about their new life from the expert knowledge and advice gained here
- After-School programs
- Marriage services and Matrimonial counseling
- Summer class
