The USA Awami League is a political organization that exclusively supports the Bangladesh Awami League. The organization represents the party’s interest in the USA. It regularly disseminates information and organizes party events for non-resident Bangladeshis who believe in and support the Bangladesh Awami League. As an extension of the Bangladesh Awami League, the USA Awami League actively coordinated and aligned the vanguard party’s interests with the interests of the USA. The organization has no permanent office in the USA. However, the organization utilizes its members’ and supporters’ residential or business addresses.
USA Awami League organizes important events for Bangladesh Awami League, such as the Birthday of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina, the National Day of Mourning, the Return of Bangabandhu to Bangladesh, etc. It organizes receptions, meetings, and discussion events with visiting leaders of the Bangladeshi Awami League in the USA. It also organizes or participates in important national events of Bangladesh, observed by the Bangladeshi community living in New York.
