Standout Tutoring is a Bangladeshi tutoring venture in New York City. Founded in 2017, Standout Tutoring offers total tutorial service which include individual student assessment, as well as students mindset analysis, study habit, and social skills evaluation. Based on various analysis and feedback, Standout Tutoring can identify how to help each student to maximize their potential and achieve education goal. The tutorial is an initiative of second generation of Bangladeshi-American and their associates – most of them are experienced and successful in American educational system. The tutorial service is a not-for-profit service primarily developed to help low-income families who are struggling to send their kids to SAT and SHSAT test preparation.

Standout Tutoring is a full-service tutorial – students are treated as person to help them develop. The tutorial sorts out the confusing part of being a student and provides a clear path to increase test scores as well as improve all areas. It helps students to keep balance between study hard and fun of being a kid. The center shows unique ways to be a standout student while everyone is following the same routine.

Tutors

  • Alif Alam was born in Bangladesh and raised in NYC. He attended Stuyvesant High School and Boston University, where he majored in Mathematics and Economics. His full-time job is in Enterprise Business Development at Demand Drive, and he has been tutoring students in SAT and SHSAT for the past 4 years.
  • Dewan Ahmed was born and raised in NYC. He attended Townsend Harris High School and Cornell University, where he studied Business. Previously, he interned in investment banking at JP Morgan. Currently, he is working full-time for Oracle.
  • Jordana Churchill was born and raised in Vermont, USA. She attended Boston University, where she majored in Neuroscience. She is currently a certified teacher at Archbishop Williams High School.
  • Filip Duz was born and raised in New Hampshire, USA. He attended Boston College university, where he studied Economics. Previously in risk consulting, he is currently in Enterprise Development at Apcera.
  • Rabeya Shahabuddin was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and later moved to NYC. In Bangladesh, she graduated from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College. She is currently studying Computer Programming in LaGuardia Community College.
