Bangladeshi Humanitarian Aid & Leadership Outreach (BHALO) is a non-profit organization founded in 2021 by Bangladeshi community members in the USA. BHALO’s mission is to empower communities by providing resources, workshops, and opportunities for growth, ensuring everyone can contribute to their vibrant community.
BHALO relies on volunteers and donations from individuals, businesses, and other organizations. Donated funds are used for various initiatives:
- Addressing hunger in the USA and Bangladesh through food drives, school supplies during back-to-school giveaways, and disaster relief programs.
- Promoting social welfare and fulfilling Islamic religious obligations through Zakat collection and distribution.
- Offering workshops in partnership with city organizations on financial literacy, mental health, first aid, human rights advocacy, legal rights, and equal opportunities.
- Supporting initiatives that provide essential resources, educational opportunities, and community empowerment programs.
Donations can be one-time, recurring, or designated for specific projects.
