The Greater San Diego Bangladesh Association (GSBA) is a San Diego-based Bangladeshi community group that promotes and improves communication and collaboration while fostering links between the Bangladeshi and American communities. GSBA is a non-profit, non-political, and secular organization that serves Bangladeshis in Southern California and Bangladesh. Greater San Diego Bangladesh Association (GSBA) goals are to foster peace and understanding among organization members, as well as between members and other ethnic groups in the San Diego area, and to assist Bangladeshis arriving in the area in adjusting to the country’s social, economic, and cultural situations. Through artistic and educational initiatives and exchanges, GSBA strives to preserve Bangladesh’s cultural history among Bangladeshi citizens in Southern California.
GSBA organizes the Bangladesh cultural festival, Bijoy Mela (December 16), International Mother Language Day (Ekushe February), Baisakhi Mela (Bangla New Year), Bangladesh community picnic, volunteer event, Eid Mela, etc.
