Established in 2017, Bangladesh American Society of Muslim Aid for Humanity (BASMAH) is a Bangladeshi-American non-profit organization based in Florida. Their mission focuses on religious and humanitarian aid, with a particular emphasis on improving the socio-economic conditions in Bangladesh. BASMAH operates through fundraising events across multiple states, including Florida, Illinois, Michigan, and New York. Donations collected go towards various projects in Bangladesh that tackle issues like providing clean water, educational opportunities, shelter for the homeless, etc.
A significant focus of BASMAH’s efforts is on supporting the Rohingya refugee crisis. They provide vital assistance such as shelter, medical care, and empowerment programs for this displaced population.
