Bangladesh Association of South Jersey (BASJ) is an association of Bangladeshi communities living in South Jersey. It is dedicated to promoting the cultural and ethnic heritage of the Bangladeshi community in the state of New Jersey. Every year, the Bangladesh Association of South Jersey organizes several cultural programs, seminars, and an annual picnic to celebrate Bangladeshi heritage and culture and improve communication among community members.
BASJ also represents the Bangladeshi community of South New Jersey at national events such as the FOBANA (Forum of Bangladeshi Associations of North America) Conference, Nazrul Conference, and other cultural and literary conferences. BASJ has been active in addressing issues at the local level in New Jersey as well as the national level in the United States. Members of BASJ participate in various local and national forums that serve the interests of the Bangladeshi community. It also uses its resources to help critical causes, such as assisting the flood victims of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Association of South Jersey (BASJ) has a membership program. Interested individuals can be a member by paying $15.
