Founded in 2022, the Bangladeshi American Bar Association (BABA) aims to strengthen the rapidly growing Bangladeshi American legal community by providing a recognized and trusted forum for professional growth and advancement and promoting civil rights and access to justice for the Bangladeshi community living in the US.
Goals and Objectives of the Bangladeshi American Bar Association (BABA):
- Empowering the Community: BABA aims to educate the Bangladeshi-American community about legal matters, providing access to legal information and pro bono services.
- Building Future Leaders: BABA encourages young Bangladeshi-Americans to pursue careers in law, offering mentorship and support to law students and attorneys.
- Promoting Diversity and Inclusion: BABA ensures that Bangladeshi-Americans have equal opportunities in the legal profession and are well-represented in the judiciary.
- Protecting Civil Rights: BABA actively opposes efforts to limit or marginalize Bangladeshi-Americans and immigrant communities.
- Building a Strong Voice: BABA strives to be a powerful voice in the legal community, collaborating with organizations like the American Bar Association and state bar associations.
- Fostering Attorney Unity: BABA promotes camaraderie and cooperation among American attorneys of Bangladeshi origin, organizing national, professional, and social events.
Bangladeshi American Bar Association (BABA) members help to strengthen a much-needed Association dedicated to representing the interests of the Bangladeshi community in the USA. BABA provides members with the following benefits:
