The Amra 92 Foundation is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), established to unite Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) alumni who entered the 1992–1993 academic session and reside in North America. Its mission is to foster social, charitable, educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities locally and internationally.
Core Objectives:
- Community Building: Strengthening bonds among alumni through social events, charity initiatives, and support during emergencies.
- Education Support: Providing scholarships, mentoring, and guidance for students, including second-generation members, in North America and Bangladesh
- Charity and Humanitarian Aid: Offering assistance during natural calamities and public health crises, along with financial aid to underprivileged students and families
- Cultural Promotion: Preserving and promoting Bangladeshi culture and heritage, especially among second-generation Bangladeshis
- Giving Back to BUET: Establishing research and educational platforms to support current BUET students and the institution’s development
- Research and Development: Supporting scientific, technological, and environmental research to improve quality of life
- Youth Engagement: Creating platforms for younger generations to network and grow through experiential learning
Organizational Structure:
The foundation is governed by an Executive Board responsible for decision-making, fundraising, and project implementation. The board has specific roles, such as President, General Secretary, and various Directors managing finance, welfare, communication, and fundraising.
Key Activities and Plans:
- Building an emergency fund for immediate assistance.
- Organizing events and outreach programs to raise awareness and increase engagement.
- Developing scholarship programs and funding educational initiatives

- Registered Members: who pay annual dues for active participation
- Lifetime Members: who contribute a lump-sum payment for permanent membership

- Privileged Members: spouses and children of members without voting rights
