Khan’s Tutorial (KT) is a Bangladeshi tutoring center founded in 1994 by Dr. Mansur Khan. Since then Khan’s Tutorial has grown to different locations in three boroughs of New York City. With over 100 highly trained instructors, Khan’s Tutorial is the academy where students obtain the highest quality education at the lowest prices. Common Core
Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA). These learning goals outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. Khan’s Tutorial prepares 3rd to 7th grade students for all aspects of the Common Core Curriculum and more.
OLSAT
Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) – a a test of abstract thinking and reasoning ability of children ages 4 to 18. The Otis-Lennon is largely group-administered, multiple choice and a measurement of verbal, quantitative and spatial reasoning ability. Khan’s Tutorial’s OLSAT program consists for two 2-hour classes each week. Free class available.
TACHS
Test For Admissions Into Catholic High Schools (TACHS) covers reading, math, language and general abstract reasoning ability. Khan’s Tutorial prepares students for TACHS with reading comprehension, math, vocabulary, logical reasoning etc.
SSAT & ISEE
Khan’s Tutorial prepares students for both the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) with monthly full-length diagnostic exams, individualized tutoring and math drilling workshops.
SHSAT
Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) is an examination administered to eighth and ninth grade students residing in New York City and used to determine admission to all but one of the city’s nine Specialized High Schools. Khan’s Tutorial has developed some signature method and exercise to make each student realize their potential. The SHSAT classes are synchrozined with student diagnostic tests, weekly workshop, and parent-teacher collaboration.
HCHS
Hunter College High School (HCHS) exam is a part of Hunter College High School – a secondary school for intellectually gifted students. The only entry year for HCHS is 7th grade. Khan’s Tutorial offers 12 Week program from October to January to prepare students in math, English, reading and writing skills.
REGENTS
In New York State, Regents Examinations are statewide standardized examinations in core high school subjects required for a Regents Diploma to graduate. KT prepares students for English, second languages, mathematics, social studies and science. The courses are designed to help both class and exam.
HSAP
Khan’s tutorial prepares students for High School Achievement Program (HSAP) by subject tutoring, test drills, mentorship, small group class, daily homework assignments and parent-teacher conference. HSAP covers SAT, SAT II, ACT, AP Tests, Regents Exams
