Business Description
Downtown Manhattan Bangladeshi Business Association, Inc. is a business organization of Bangladeshi small business owners, vendors, and shareholders. The association was created in 2004 and is registered in New York as a domestic not-for-profit organization.
The aim of the association is to
- make a strong network among Bangladeshi businesses working in Downtown Manhattan
- promote a safe, secure, and healthy environment for business for the community
- create a friendly and cooperative relationship with all ethnic communities working in the area
- plan, arrange, and celebrate cultural, religious, and national events of Bangladesh together
- lobby for a good business environment with local authorities
- help maintain and spread business opportunities for all Bangladeshis, etc.
Downtown Manhattan Bangladeshi Business Association is a membership-based organization. Currently, there are 25 general members in the organization. An elected committee runs the organization. The association organizes family picnics, iftar parties, and other events for its members and their families each year.
