Mushtaq Learning Center, also known as Mushtaq Academy, is a Bangladeshi tutorial center and innovative learning place. The center’s teaching strategies and learning activities are significantly different than others. The founder of the center, Mushtaq Ahmed, is also a teacher and mentor. Mushtaq Learning Center is committed in every facet of learning: teaching, tutoring, and guiding.
Mushtaq Learning Center is different from traditional tutorial centers. A traditional tutorial center is usually owned by an individual or individuals who are not directly involved in tutoring or teaching. The teaching or more precisely the tutoring is carried out by sometimes inexperienced individuals, college students or in many cases students from higher grades. As a result, the focus moves from helping students build a strong foundation of knowledge to passing information in a mechanical fashion. In fact, when the importance of a strong foundation is not addressed and emphasized, learning of students becomes crippled.
Mushtaq Learning Center takes a different approach. It believes academic teaching must be carried out by individuals who have content knowledge of the subjects and know how to teach. Besides, learning activities of students must be enjoyable. Once students enjoy their learning activities, they become more interested and get engaged with their own learning. Finally, the learning activities of students must be managed to provide constant feedback and guidance to students. Effective teaching methods, enjoyable learning activities, and well-managed learning process can ensure the best possible learning outcomes.
