Bangladesh Society of Sydney Inc. (BDSS) is a non-profit social organization working for Bangladeshi community in Sydney. The organization is funded though subscripts, donation, grant by Bangladeshi community and Australian Government. Bangladesh Society of Sydney promotes unity and harmony among Bangladeshi community residing and upcoming migrant, Student in Australia by providing social, cultural, educational and job related information.
The Society arranges functions and ceremonies of national importance with respect to Bangladeshi community. And it also promotes social and cultural events in the form of periodic symposium, debates, social gatherings, excursions, sports, and other activities. Bangladesh Society of Sydney Inc. (BDSS) also works on community language program by teaching ethnic languages especially for the children and people who are interested in interested in Bangladeshi culture. Membership fees and special fees are collected to organize events.
