Bangladesh Canada Association of Windsor Essex (BCAWE) is a registered not-for-profit organization of people living in greater Windsor-Essex region of Southern Ontario and having Bangladeshi roots. BCAWE highly values and appreciates the diversity of Canadian culture, and works to promote the Bengali language and culture among its members as well as wider community. There are about 1,000 Bangladeshi-Canadians live in Windsor.
The organization celebrate various Bangladeshi national and cultural events such as Ekhushe February (International Mother Language Day), Boishakhi Mela (Bangla New Year), Bangladesh Independence day etc. It also organizes picnic, iftar and cultural events.
Bangladesh Canada Association of Windsor Essex (BCAWE) has President, Vice Presidents, General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary, Treasurer, Organizational Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Publication Secretary, International Affairs Secretary, Sports Secretary, Social Welfare Secretary, and Executive Members to run the organization. A team of advisors are also available to help the organization to steer toward the right direction.
