Muhammadi Center (also known as Mohammadi Community Center) is a Bangladeshi community center in Jackson Heights, New York. The center is primarily used for Islamic, religious and spiritual and educational activities. It was founded by Imam Qazi Qayyoom in 2005. The center can be rented as a party center for similar events.
Community Services of the center extends to all people regardless of their religious background. People in need of help can approach including personal problem, family counseling (parents-children/husband-wife/sibling-sibling/any relationship), children problem, social dispute, third party counseling (possible solutions before going to court) etc. Muhammadi Center can also help in solemnizing Islamic matrimony.
In cooperation with other community organizations the center organizes legal clinics, housing seminar, tax filing etc. to assist low income people of New York.
Muhammadi Center’s activities also include:
- Muslim Prayer Service: 5 times a day
- Jamat: Regular Friday prayer and other festival prayers
- Dua Mahfil for special need
- Taweez
- Wazeefa Istikhara
- After School Program via Al-Azhar Tutorial
- Bangla, Urdu and Arabic Language Classes
- Hifzul Quran Classes for adults
- Celebrations: (Eid-e-Miladunnabi, Ashura, Khatmul Quran, Milad Mahfil, Shab-e-Baraat, Shab-e-Qadr, Eesal-e-Sawaab etc.)
- Anti-Terrorism Awareness Unit
