Bangla New Year/Borsho Baran 2025

Drama Circle New York will celebrate the 1432 Bangla New Year, also known as Pohela Boishakh or Borsho Baran, on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Queens. The group will organize a vibrant cultural program to mark this significant event. The festivities will feature a captivating performance of Bangla borsho baran songs, followed by a mesmerizing poetry recitation. Additionally, a special children’s event will ensure inclusivity and joy for all ages. As a culinary delight, traditional Bangla New Year’s food, including the delectable Panta Ilish (cooked water fermented rice and Hilsha fish), will be available for purchase at the event.
