Carnival of Cultures 2015

Carnival of Cultures 2015 will be held in Jamaica, Queens on May 22-24. This 3-day event is celebration of Bangladeshi culture, tradition, and music for Bangladeshi and other communities in New York. The event is organized by Bangladeshi American Community Development & Youth Services (BACDYS).

The event includes live concert, music, food, shopping, award, and other fun. Mechanical rides for children and youth: Ferris Wheel, Round Up, Loop O Plane, Carousel, Car Ride, Chair Swing, Rock Out, Lady Bug, Air plain Slide.

The event not free. Entrance fee $3.00

Naneer Boishakhi Mela

Naneer Boishakhi Mela or Bangla New Year 1422 festival will be held in California. There will be Bangladeshi food, snacks, cloth, jewelry stalls for shooping convenience, amusement for children, musical chair for adults. Best Boishakhi Dressed couple will be awarded. Music will be performed by visiting singers from Bangladesh and local singers of Bangladeshi origin.

Naneer Boishakhi Mela is organized by Women Organization of Greater Los Angeles.

Bangladesh Mela

Bangladesh Mela organized by Noor’s House of Asia. Live music will be presented by local Bangladeshi artists of New York as well as singers from Bangladesh will attend. Dance, music, fun and raffle draw will part of the event.

Bangladeshi vendors will come to sell cloth, jewelery, food, etc.  The event is free.

Rongomela by Rongaloy NY will be held in Long Island on Saturday, June 6, 2015. A Bangladeshi festival for the first time in Long Island!  Music by visiting Bangladeshi singers, poetry recitation, dance, drama. Stall for fashion items, food, jewelry and children’s items.

International Bangla Festival & Book Fair 2015

International Bangla Festival & Book Fair (আন্তর্জাতিক বাংলা উৎসব এবং বইমেলা) will be held from May 22 to 24, 2015 in Queens, New York. This three-day event is organized by Muktadhara Foundation. Writers, poets, artists, essayists, reciters, publishers, book vendors from Bangladesh, India, and other countries are invited to participate.

The principal aim of International Bangla Festival & Book Fair or (Boi Mela) is to preserve and promote Bangladeshi culture and heritage among expatriate Bangladeshi community living in USA and Canada. The event draws Bangla literary enthusiastic from Bangladesh, West Bengal of India, and Europe. Literary discussions, book reviews, poetry recitation, music, dance, folk drama, children’s program, youth discussion, book fair, photo exhibition, are part of the three day event.

Artists from Chittagong Hill Tracks, Bangladesh will perform on the opening night. Bangla Utshob Parade at 5:00 pm. Bangla handwriting, drawing, dance, recitation, and song competition for Bangladeshi children and young will be held on May 23rd.
