Pohela Boishakh & Borshobaran

To celebrate Bangla Year 1422, Jackson Heights Bangladeshi Business Association of NY will organize a Pohela Boishakh & Borshobaran festival in Jackson Heights. Music, dance, Bangla New Year’s traditional food – ‘panta ilish’ will be part of the event. Shilpakala Academy of USA, Bonhishikha Sangit Niketon and local Bangladeshi singers will perform at the cultural program.

The event is free and open to all.

Pohela Boishakh & Borshobaran festival organized by Bangladesh Society of New York, Inc. The program includes fashion show, drama, dance and music. ‘Panta Illish’ – the traditional Bangla New York food will be a special attraction. Poets, artiest, literary figures of Bangladeshi community living in New York will attend the event.

Borshobaran & Pitha Utshob of JBBA

Borshobaran & Pitha Utshob, organized by Jackson Heights Bangladeshi Business Association (JBBA) will be held in Woodside, New York. Borshobaran and Pitha Utshob are part of traditional Bangla New Year (Boishakhi) festival.  ‘Panta’ and ‘Ilish’ (water soaked rice and Hilsa fish), various kinds of ‘vorta’ (mashed goodies), and other Bangladeshi food items will be available at the event. Cultural program will be performed by local artists.

Spring Festival & Bangla New Year

Spring Festival & Bangla New Year Celebration of Bangladeshi community. Celebrate a vibrant and beautiful Bangla/Bangladeshi/Bengali culture with a spectacular showcase! The event includes poetry, music, song, and dance! More than 60 students from India, Bangladesh, and Japan will perform a cultural showcase. Come to encourage and support them in their endeavors! In addition, several esteemed classical dance and vocal troupes will perform at the event.

There will be clothing stalls, jewelry stalls, and food exhibitions at the concert. The event is free and open to all. All are invited!

Sadarang Worldwide Music Center will organize the event.

Celebration of Bangla New Year (বাংলা নববর্ষ) and Boishakhi Mela (বৈশাখী মেলা) in Jackson Heights, New York.
