Pohela Boishakh & Borshobaran festival organized by Bangladesh Society of New York, Inc. The program includes fashion show, drama, dance and music. ‘Panta Illish’ – the traditional Bangla New York food will be a special attraction. Poets, artiest, literary figures of Bangladeshi community living in New York will attend the event.

Borshobaran & Pitha Utshob of JBBA

Borshobaran & Pitha Utshob, organized by Jackson Heights Bangladeshi Business Association (JBBA) will be held in Woodside, New York. Borshobaran and Pitha Utshob are part of traditional Bangla New Year (Boishakhi) festival.  ‘Panta’ and ‘Ilish’ (water soaked rice and Hilsa fish), various kinds of ‘vorta’ (mashed goodies), and other Bangladeshi food items will be available at the event. Cultural program will be performed by local artists.

Spring Festival & Bangla New Year

Spring Festival & Bangla New Year Celebration of Bangladeshi community. Celebrate a vibrant and beautiful Bangla/Bangladeshi/Bengali culture with a spectacular showcase! The event includes poetry, music, song, and dance! More than 60 students from India, Bangladesh, and Japan will perform a cultural showcase. Come to encourage and support them in their endeavors! In addition, several esteemed classical dance and vocal troupes will perform at the event.

There will be clothing stalls, jewelry stalls, and food exhibitions at the concert. The event is free and open to all. All are invited!

Sadarang Worldwide Music Center will organize the event.

Celebration of Bangla Mela (Bangla New Year) in New York. Local businessmen, activists, leaders, government officials are invited to join. Actors, models, anchors, dancers from Bangladesh and India will attend the event. Music, dance, fashion show and children’s program will be on the show. Various kinds of stalls will be at the venue. The event is free to attend.

This event is organized By New England Bangladeshi American Foundation Inc, (NEBAF) – a not-for-profit cultural and charitable organization of New England.

Borshobaran (বর্ষবরন) – The program is organized by Drama Circle in Astoria, New York. Boishakhi Mela, New York

Celebration of Bangla New Year (বাংলা নববর্ষ) and Boishakhi Mela (বৈশাখী মেলা) in Jackson Heights, New York. The event is organized by US based Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association, Dhaka University Alumni Association, Chittagong University Alumni Association, Shahitya Academy and other organizations.

Bangla New Year Art Contest

Bangla New Year Art Contest in Atlanta to celebrate Boishakhi Festival. This year’s contest theme is ‘Beauty of Bangladesh‘. Apart from the contest, Boishakhi Mela will have cultural program for adults. US-based Bangladeshi artists and artists from Bangladesh will participate. There will be food booths, snack booth, kids food and much more.

Bangla New Year Art Contest For Children:  

Levels: Group A: Grades K-2nd and  Group B: Grades 3rd-5th

Art Medium: Pencil, Markers, Water colors, Acrylic, and Ink

What to bring with you: Bring your art medium, brushes, rulers, erasers, sharpeners

What will be provided: Art paper, color mixing plates, water and containers, tissues
