DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight 2017

The 6th annual DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight 2017 will be held in New Haven, Connecticut on October 14. Distressed Children International (DCI) will organize the conference. The aim of the conference is to bring thinkers and supporters who are actively working to make the world better place for every child, specially in the field of children’s education and health. The event will highlight the growing need for resources in the area, report from the fields, and achievement so far.

Individuals who are making significant contributions to the defense of children’s right will be recognized at the DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight 2017. The conference is a tickets only event. All financial contributions collected from the event supports DCI’s program in Bangladesh.

Objectives of DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight 2017

  1. To assemble leaders from the fields of child rights, global health, international development, social entrepreneurship, and youth development to discuss current issues affecting children and promote awareness about these critical issues locally, nationally, and internationally.
  2. To provide a platform for local, national and international participants to showcase achievements and share lessons from their experience working against child poverty, child labor and treatable blindness.
  3. To build a stronger international network and forge new partnerships among like-minded researchers, policymakers and organizations.
  4. To feature youth as attendees, volunteers and honorees, encouraging them to take leadership in humanitarian causes.

Reduced admission is offered only to members of partner institutions and DCI team members, active donors and current volunteers. Lunch, Networking reception and refreshments included in registration fee.

DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight

DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight will be held at Yale University on October 24, 2015. DCI (Distressed Children International) holds its International Conference on Child Rights & Sight to raise awareness on child rights, including child labor and diseases that affect vision. The event gathers world-class speakers and leaders to address these pressing issues and discuss creative solutions. Speakers from Bangladesh and USA will attend the conference.

DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight is an annual event. It has held four international conferences at Yale University in 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2013.

DCI Conference on Child Rights & Sight will also give awards to individuals who are making significant contributions to the defense of child rights as well as highly motivated youth who will become the next generation of humanitarian leaders. Awards will be given in three categories: Humanitarian Award, Youth Leadership Awards and Child Rights Youth Award.

Registration is required to attend the event. Tickets  for general admission is $30, students for $10 (After July 31, 2015, the fee is $50 and $25 respectively). Payment can be made by Credit Card, PayPal, and check.

Food and refreshments will be sold in the lobby area and a networking reception with complementary light refreshments will be held in the evening.
