FOBANA Convention 2024

The 38th Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA) Convention 2024 will be held in Arlington, Virginia, from August 30 to September 1, 2024. Hosted by the Bangladesh Association of Greater Washington DC (BAGWDC), the event brings together Bangladeshi Americans from all walks of life.

A magazine will be published and showcase a vibrant, informative Magazine filled with enriching literature contributed by renowned writers, poets, and critics from Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi diaspora worldwide. The magazine will be distributed free during the Convention.

Local Bangladeshi newspapers and TV organizations will act as media partners and media friends of the event.

FOBANA Convention 2023 – Toronto (2)

This year’s 37th FOBANA Convention – Toronto will be organized by another group of FOBANA enthusiasts at the Sheraton Hotel. This convention will be organized with a theme: ‘The arrogance of the old is the victory song of the young.’ Matching with the theme convention, Bangladeshi music, dance, and drama will be presented to the audience. Many local Canadian-Bangladeshi entertainers will showcase their talent at the convention. This FOBANA is hosted by Bangladesh Canadian Friendship Society Inc and co-hosted by Ban-Can Youth Organization Inc.

MUNA Convention 2023

The Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) Convention 2023 is a three-day event held from August 18 to August 20 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The convention will feature various speakers, including Islamic scholars, researchers, imams, and activists. The convention will also include:

Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA) Convention 2023

The 37th annual convention of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA) will be held in Dallas, Texas, from September 1-3, 2023. The convention is the largest gathering of Bangladeshis living in North America, and it is an excellent opportunity for people to connect with their culture and heritage. This year’s local convention host is the Bangladesh Association of North Texas (BANT). The convention will feature various cultural performances, business workshops, and networking opportunities. There will also be a children’s corner with activities for all ages.

Entrance to the convention is $50 for adults and free for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

The convention is a great way to learn about Bangladeshi culture, meet new people, and network with other Bangladeshis living in North America.

Local Bangladeshi American artists and performers will entertain attendees at the three-day convention. The event will also feature discussions, seminars, a film festival, children’s events, a youth forum, a women’s empowerment workshop, a talent show, an art exhibition, and scholarship distribution.

A full-color magazine will be published as a souvenir, featuring information about the event and businesses involved. The convention will also host Miss FOBANA, Dance IDOL, and Music IDOL competitions for Bangladeshi-American children.

nTV, ATN, myTV, News24, BanglaPress, and other Bangladeshi-American news outlets will serve as media partners for the convention. Steering and host committee members will be on hand to ensure the event’s smooth operation.

Jalalabad World Sylhet Convention

Jalalabad World Sylhet Convention will be held on 16 and 17 from 9:30 am – 10:00 pm, each day.

The aim of the convention is to gather people of Sylheti origin who are living in USA, Canada, UK, Japan, India, Bangladesh and other countries. Many successful entrepreneurs, businessmen, justices, academicians, professionals of Sylheti origin will attend the convention. Invited guests will address problems and prospects of Sylthet, and tell about their personal memories and experiences. The convention will showcase food, culture, tradition, language, dance, music, talent, success stories of Sylhet. Invited singers, musicians, performers will entertain the audience. The convention will also emphasis on the contribution of Sylhet in development of Bangladesh. People of Sylhet, Habiganj, Moulvibazar, Sunamganj, Jokiganj and other areas will come to the convention to mingle, meet, and share their love and passion for Sylhet.
