International Mother Language Day 2017 – North Bengal Foundation, Inc. This a discussion meeting about the role of North Bengal in Bangladesh Language movement. Knowledgbale people on the issue in Bangladeshi community will speak on the occasion. Music, recitation etc. will be part of the cultural program. All are welcome.

Ekushey Celebration 2017 – Bangladesh Society

Celebration of Ekushey February and International Mother Language Day will be organized by Bangladesh Society on February 20th in Queens, New York City. Many Bangladeshi social, cultural, sports, professional, political, religious, regional, business, cooperative, organizations are excepted to participate at the event.

Program

– Cultural Program (music, song, dance, recitation etc.)
– Award to winners of Children completion
– Lay flower wreath on make-shift Shaheed Minar by organizations at midnight

The event is free and open to all.  The event will be broadcast on local Bangladeshi TV channels. Food vendors will sell food at the the event.

Ekushey February 2017 – Dhaka University Alumni Association of USA

Celebration of Ekushey February 2017 organized by Dhaka University Alumni Association of USA. Many Bangladeshi social, cultural, educational, professional, regional, organizations and groups based in New York City will participate at the event. Following associations will perform Ekushey theme related music, dance, recitation. Winner of Bangladeshi Children Talent Competition in drawing, poetry recitation, Bangla handwriting, Bangla essay written, quiz categories will be awarded at the event. The event is free and open to all.

At midnight, due respect will be paid to the martyrs of Bangla Language Movement.

United Ekushey Celebration 2016

United Ekushey Celebration 2016 will be organized by Dhaka University Alumni Association of USA. Many Bangladeshi organizations will participate jointly in celebrating Ekushey February or International Mother Language Day Celebration.

Program includes songs, music, dance Bangla poetry recitation, memoir, etc. Award will be given to talented children and competition winners. The program will be broadcast in North American Bangladeshi TV channels.

The event is free and open to all. The program will end with placing floral wreaths at Shaheed Minar.
