IBU & Book Fair 2014 Objectives: To project the cultural heritage of Bengali to expatriate Bangladesh and West Bengal and other communities living in the North America. And to build a sustainable link between the expatriate Bengalis and the land where they or their ancestors were born in field of information exchange, literature, culture & business. Poets, writers, artists, publishers from Bangladesh and West Bengal of India will attend.

SpaandanB Fund Raiser & Boishakhi Mela, California

It is our pleasure to invite you and your family to “SpaandanB Fund Raiser and Boishakhi Mela 2014” on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at “Evergreen Valley High School, 3300 Quimby Road, San Jose, CA 95148”. At the advent of Bengali New Year, we would like to share with you the stories of success that have been made possible by your generous contributions over the last year. More over, we would like to spend the time with you celebrating Bangla New Year 1421 with delicious Bengali food, music and more.

This day long program will have two exciting parts. First part, from 3-6pm, we will have a “Boishakhi Mela” featuring many stalls offering authentic Bengali delectables. Mela is free for all!

The second part, from 6-9pm, SpaandanB will show how your contribution over the last years has touched so many lives in Bangladesh. We will share stories and reports through Audio-Video presentation. Major attraction of this part is the musical performance by renowned Bangladesh artist, Kumar Bishwajit and his musician team. This part of the program will require you to purchase entrance tickets. There are three types of tickets, $30 for Silver Admission, $50 for Golden Admission and $100 for Platinum Admission. Children 5 years or younger will not require any ticket. Tickets are on sale right now.

The main purpose of all these is to raise fund for SpaandanB projects and we will appreciate your generous donation. Note that your contribution will be tax deductible and may qualify for Company matching as well.

Admission : Mela is free admission. Cultural program requires paid admission ($30 Silver, $50 Golden and $100 Platinum admission). Children 5 or under are free.

Please check with any Executive Member to reserve your ticket. You can pay online for your ticket using credit card. We can either hold your ticket or mail it to you according to your preference.
