Bangladeshi Musical Night – Nachiketa & Partha. This event is organized by mDeshi Music & Entertainment and presented by Total Cable.

Nachiketa Chakraborty is an Indian Bangla singer-songwriter and composer who is known for his modern lyrics and natural mode of singing. Partha Barua is a Bangladeshi singer and a member of the band Souls – a Bangladeshi pop band.

Bangladesh Mela 2015 in LA is a two-day program on Labor day weekend from 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm each day. The event is organized by Bangladesh Mela Committee, LA. Live band music, pop songs, dance, food, fun all day.  Raffle Prize: Round trip to LA-Dhaka, Big screen TV, Galaxy Tablet etc.

Nazrul Convention 2015 in LA

Nazrul Convention 2015 in LA will be organized by Bangladesh Academy of Los Angeles. It is a two-day program, starts daily from 2:00 pm – 12:00 midnight. The program includes songs of Nazrul Islam, discussion, dance, poetry etc. Local singers of Bangladeshi origin in Los Angeles and visiting artists from Bangladesh will participate at the event.

Eid Anondo Rong or Eid Ananda Rang (ঈদ আনন্দ রং) – a Eid Festival for Bangladeshi community in New York City. Live music will be performed by local Bangladeshi singers. Comedic short Bangla drama, band music, jokes etc will be part of the fun event. Eid Mela for all. Free is free. All are welcome.

Songs of Tagore by Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya

Songs of Tagore by Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya to celebrate Rabindranath Tagore, the great Bangalee poet who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. Tagore championed a religion of man and sang of humanity’s common bond, and is the only poet in the world whose poems were adopted as national anthems by two countries – India and Bangladesh. More than 150 years after his birth, his “elegant prose and beautiful poetry” continue to inspire generations of people of all cultures. Tagore was also a great composer, having written and composed over 3,000 songs.

Bangladeshi  Singer Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya is one of the greatest exponents of Tagore’s music. She studied at Shantiniketan, the school in West Bengal (India) that Tagore had set up at the turn of the 20th century. Herself a professor of music, Ms. Chowdhury has spent the last 35 years bringing Tagore’s music and its message to the world through concert appearances, lectures and recordings.

Expected run time for Songs of Tagore by Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya is 150 minutes.

Bangladesh Student Association at LaGuardia Community College invites you to ‘Bangladesh Night 2015’ – a Bangladeshi cultural event to celebrate Bangla New Year 1422 at LaGuardia Community College Auditorium. The event includes live music, fashion show, drama, dance, comedy, group dance, etc. Most the performers are of Bangladeshi origin and students of LaGuardia Community College. Some outside performers may join. The event is free. Family and friends are welcome.

Dallywood Film & Music Awards 2015 will be held in New York City. The award celebrates the film and music of Bangladesh at a local level for expatriate Bangladeshi community in New York. Cultural program, music, dance, magic etc. are part of the event. Actors and actresses, singers, models from Bangladesh and local artists will participate at the event.
