Muslim Day Parade 2016

Muslim Day Parade 2016 in Manhattan, New York. The United American Muslim Day Parade in Manhattan is organized by Muslim Foundation of America. It is held on the last Sunday of September each year. The theme of this year’s parade is ‘For God and Country’. The Parade’s purpose is to bring communities of various ethnic and religious groups together to promote a better understanding of Islam and to establish interfaith cooperation between Muslims and all other religious/community groups. The Muslim Day Parade will be attended by MUNA, ICNA, ISNA, CAIR, CCIM, American Society of Muslims, Muslim community, Arab Muslim American Federation, American Muslim Alliance, and various Masjid in the tri-state area.

There will be many booths with foods, cloths, books, gifts items, toys for children.

Bangladeshi Anondo Parade – Muktadhara, New York

Bangladeshi Anondo Parade – Muktadhara, New York. The event is to celebrate 25 years of Muktadhara, New York. Parade will start from Diversity Plaza of Jackson Heights, NY at 4:30 pm. All are welcome to join the fun. Bangladeshi cultural organizations, Bangladeshi regional organizations, not-for-profit organizations can take part at the parade under their own banner. Banners, festoon, balloons are responsibility of respective organizations.

Muktadhara, New York will publish souvenir for the occasion.

BIPA Bangla New Year Festival of 1422

Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts, BIPA Bangla New Year Festival of 1422. There will be parade, block festival, special performances to mark Bangla New Year (Boishakh). The program will also include song, dance and poetry recitation of BIPA students, BIPA dance and BIPA Award for contribution in Bangalee Culture.

Parade: With traditional Bangla festoon, banner, dance, drum, and other musical instruments. The parade usually rounds few blocks of the venue. Starts from 36-01, 37th Street, Astoria at 3:30 pm.

Festival: Stalls for fashion clothing, jewelry, toys, food, face painting, etc.

Special performances: Sri Lankan dance, Jersey Wave Band, Chinese dance, Samba Drumming, BATALA, NY, Kathak Ensemble dance.

The event is free and open to all.
