The reception will be given on behalf of USA Awami League in cooperation with other organizations affiliated with USA Awami League. The event is free. Public Reception of Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh will be held in Manhttan, New York. The Prime Minister will be in New York to attend 70th General Secretariat meeting of United Nations.

The reception will given on behalf of USA Awami League in cooperation with other associate organizations of Awami League based in USA. The event is free. All Bangladeshi community are welcome at the event. Good idea to contact the organizers for more information. Camera, bag, umbrella are not allowed at the reception area for security reason.

As a part of ‘Bangladeshis in Mainstream’ (মূলধারায় বাংলাদেশী) program, North Bengal Foundation will give reception to Dr. Nina Ahmed. Dr. Nina Ahmed is one of the members of President Obama’s 14-member advisory commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Ziauddin Ahmed, Roquia Haider (commonly misspelled as Rokeya Haider), Anis Rahman, M. N. Saheen, Shameem Ahsan and others will speak at Bangladeshis in Mainstream event. 

Rathindranath Roy, Shahid Hasan, Rafiqul Islam and other singers will participate at the cultural part of the event.
