Pothomela 2015 – Church-McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association

Street Fair or Pothomela 2015 – Church-McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association. This year, it is the 10th year celebration of Pothomela in Brooklyn organized by Church-McDonald Bangladeshi Business Association. Many Bangladeshi food, cloth, jewelry, toy stalls in one place for communities shopping convenience. Live music will be performed by local and visiting singers from Bangladesh.

A colorful magazine in Bangla will be published with sponsoring Bangladeshi businesses, stories, poetry, etc.

Raffle draw with grand prizes like car, TV, iPad, air tickets, valuable household items etc. All are welcome.

Boishakhi Mela 2015, London

Boishakhi Mela 2015, London – The once in a year Boishakhi Mela 2015 in London will have a multitude of food stalls, rickshaw rides and colorful floats to welcome the Bangla New Year. Enjoy the Boishakhi celebrations this May with your family and friends while Bangladeshi community rejoices.

London Brick Lane is well-known for its Indian curry places so it will be very easy to hit upon a great feast while watching the Boishakhi celebrations in London; even though you should be expecting the restaurants very busy during Boishakhi Mela in London! Conventional costumes, Bengal tigers and ethnic rituals can be abundant. Elephants are one of the attractions of this yearly carnival parade in Brick Lane. The festivities normally start with an extensive carnival between Allen Gardens and Weavers Fields, all along the lane, led by neighborhood children in eye-catching traditional dresses. You should try the famous hot biriyani, vindaloo and balti from a number of restaurants and well-liked stalls which place Brick Lane in London on the atlas.

Be there at the yearly Boishakhi Mela celebrations in London’s Brick Lane and watch some conventional rituals, taste mouth-watering food and welcome the exhilarating Bangla New Year!

BACDYS Small Business Summit & Multicultural Festival

BACDYS Small Business Summit & Multicultural Festival 2015 will be held from August 26th to August 28th in New York. The event is organized by BACDYS, Bangladeshi American Community Development and Youth Services, Inc. This the sixth year of the event. Local Bangladeshi businesses in USA, businesses from Bangladesh and other countries are invited to participate at the event. This is great opportunity for Bangladeshi businesses to establish contact, experience consumer base, open/expand/partner with businesses, and gain some international exposure. There will be several Bangladeshi media outlets – Mohona TV, SA TV, TBN24, ATN Bangla, and Millennium TV – in New York will cover the event. Ten thousand people are expected to come to enjoy the festival.

BACDYS Small Business Summit & Multicultural Festival 2015 will be a five day event of shopping, networking, business opportunity, experiencing diversity and tradition of Bangladesh. There will be carnival rides, live entertainment, concerts, food, fun, and family time.

All participating businesses must be registered in Bangladesh with Chamber of Commerce or licensed by the government to conduct export-oriented business. All participating company outside of the United States must complete this form to register. Registration fee is $1000. The registration fee are 100% tax-deductible for the USA businesses.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

For General Registration members, 50% ($500.00) of the registration fee ($1,000.00) will be refunded within thirty days after the 2015 Small Business Summit. The registrant must officially cancel the registration by 5:00 PM on July 31st, 2015, in order to receive the 50% refund. The registration fee and all sponsorship contributions are 100% tax-deductible.

BIPA Bangla New Year Festival of 1422

Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts, BIPA Bangla New Year Festival of 1422. There will be parade, block festival, special performances to mark Bangla New Year (Boishakh). The program will also include song, dance and poetry recitation of BIPA students, BIPA dance and BIPA Award for contribution in Bangalee Culture.

Parade: With traditional Bangla festoon, banner, dance, drum, and other musical instruments. The parade usually rounds few blocks of the venue. Starts from 36-01, 37th Street, Astoria at 3:30 pm.

Festival: Stalls for fashion clothing, jewelry, toys, food, face painting, etc.

Special performances: Sri Lankan dance, Jersey Wave Band, Chinese dance, Samba Drumming, BATALA, NY, Kathak Ensemble dance.
