Quickbooks, Excel & Career Development Workshops

Free Quickbooks, Excel & Career Development Workshops will be offered by Human Development BD (CHD BD) and  Youth Congress of Bangladeshi Americans (YCBA) from April to June. Ten free classes will be offered to first come first served registrants. The event is open to all, with special aim to Bangladeshi as well as all South Asian Communities. Classes will be held Sundays for convenience of the attendees.

The workshop is designed to prepare participants for the US accounting job market. The training will teach how to use Quickbooks and MS Excel. Limited seat, registration required. No previous accounting related work experience necessary, Basic knowledge of computer is helpful.

Bangla Pronunciation Workshop by Shobdo Recitation

Bangla Pronunciation Workshop by Shobdo Recitation Institute & Cultural Media Inc, NY. These two workshops are designed to help interested second generation Bangladeshi kids to speak Bangla the right way. This is a correct Bangla pronunciation and recitation workshop. The workshop will also cover poetry recitation, TV news reading, news presentation and drama practice, etc. Registration is required to attend. Minimum age for registration is 12 years.

The aim of the workshop to teach QuickBooks – a leading accounting software and MS Excel – a leading spreadsheet software in 10 weeks. This is an entry level course. Basic ideas will be discussed. The workshop will also prepare participants for competitive job market of USA. The course will give trainees theoretical knowledge as well as some hands on practice.

The workshop is designed primarily for Bangladeshi community but open to all. The workshop is free  but registration is required.
